Dottie Frances (Morgan) Reel

Mrs. Dottie Frances Reel, 85, of Dayton, TN passed on to her heavenly home on Friday, January 5th, 2024. She was born November 23rd, 1938 in Pikeville, TN to Abel and Cwilla Morgan. Mrs. Reel was a lifelong resident in Dayton, and was a member of New Union Baptist. Dottie was the most wonderful and most precious mother one could have - she always put her children first. 

Mrs. Reel is preceded in death by her parents Abel and Cwilla Morgan; husband William C "Rod" Reel; and step-dad John Swafford.

Dottie is survived by her four children Cynthia Sullivan of Dayton, TN; Marcella Smith of Dayton, TN; Drusilla Burton of Pikeville, TN; and Lewis "Pete" (Gail) Sullivan of Dayton, TN; her half children Brenda (Jay) Goins and Ronnie Sullivan; her sister Joyce Winsett of Athens, TN; her four grandchildren Clay Carol, Clint (Jill) Sullivan, Daliegh Tallent, and Casey Smith; her two step-grandchildren Lynn Byrd and Justin Goins; her six great grandchildren Garrett and Lilah Sullivan, Maddie and Marshall Tallent, and Hannah and Hunter Byrd; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 2PM Tuesday, January 9th, 2024 in the chapel of Coulter Garrison Funeral Home with Reverend Jimmy Jewel and Reverend Dr. Danny Ruehling officiating. Burial will follow at Rhea Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 11AM until the time of the service.
