ELLEN FAYE EWTON

Ellen Faye Ewton, 80, of Dayton, Tennessee, passed away at the Golden Years Retirement Resort in Spring City, on Tuesday, August 29, 2023. 

She was a life-long resident of Rhea County and taught in the school system for 39-1/2 years.  She will be greatly missed. 

Faye is preceded in death by her parents Roscoe Daniel Ewton and Mattie G. Dunn Ewton; brother, Jack Ewton; and nephew, Terry Joe Ewton.     

She is survived by her brother James “Jim” Douglas Ewton, of Dayton, TN; sisters, Judy Ewton and Lou King, of Dayton, Tennessee; niece, Kristen Lynn Dixon; and nephew, Eric Lee (Gayle) Ewton. 

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 1, 2023, at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Coulter Garrison Funeral Home with Cecil Baxter and Herald Dixon officiating.  Interment will follow at Spring City Memorial Gardens.  Visitation will be held on Friday, September 1, 2023, from 12:00 PM until the time of service.
