Earsel “Red” Junior Couch passed away Saturday April 3, 2021 at CHI Memorial Hospital, he was 78 years old. Red was a lifelong resident of Rhea County and was of the Church of God faith. He attended the South Dayton Church of God. He owned Couch’s Garage where he worked for 52 years. Red was a very hard worker and when he was younger liked to race cars at the track in Spring City. He enjoyed traveling, but his favorite thing to do was to spend time with his wife, children, and grandchildren whom he loved very much.
Red is preceded in death by four brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Linda Curtin Couch; sons, Earsel (Heidi) Couch of Evensville, Phillip (Kim) Couch of Dayton and Eric (Louise) Couch of Soddy Daisy; siblings, Francis Pelfrey, Ruby Ezell, Leon Couch, Don Couch, Sue Browder, Barbara Manning, Eddie Couch, Nancy Shaw and James Couch; eight grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be Tuesday April 6, 2021 at 3 PM in the chapel of Coulter Garrison Funeral Home with Leon Couch officiating.
The family will receive friends Tuesday April 6, 2021 from 1-3PM at Coulter Garrison Funeral Home.
Red will be laid to rest at Rhea Memory Gardens.
