Elberta Pauline Tyler, age 88, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, July 11, 2025, and is now in the arms of Jesus. She was born on February 3, 1937, in Dayton, Tennessee. to Earl and Ina Travis.
Pauline was a devoted wife of seventy years, a loving mother, and best friend. She loved deeply and gave generously from her heart. A dedicated homemaker, she found joy in caring for her family and had a passion for quilting, sewing, cooking, and tending to her flowers.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Hugh B. Tyler; her daughter, Teresa Gail (Tom) McGhee; her sisters, Faye Travis and Rosie Houston; and her brother, Dean Travis.
She is survived by her children: Frances (Mark) Westervelt, Shirley Diane (Donny), Hutchins, Neva Webb, and Edwin (Brenda) Tyler. She is also survived by her siblings: Katherine (Albert) Cox, Geraldine (Charlie) Bishop, Lee (Bill) Creasman; and brothers Junior (Linda) Travis and Paul (Nancy) Travis, Four grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Monday July 14, 2025, at 10:00 AM at the Kiuka Cemetery with Pastor Michael Shrum officiating.
Pauline will be remembered for her warm heart, unwavering faith, and the love she shared with all who knew her.
