Eliza Jane (Swafford) Flippo

Eliza Jane Flippo of Dayton, TN passed away October 23, 2020 at Rhea Medical Center.

Eliza was born in Pikeville, Tn. She had moved to Michigan.  She had returned to Rhea County and was of the Baptist faith. She loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and enjoyed country music.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bert Swafford and Elsie Almeda Farmer Swafford; husband, Kermit “Red” Flippo; 1st husband, Willie Thurman Marler; sister, Sara Lou Rogers and brother, Burton Swafford.

She is survived by her children, Carol Rogers of Grand Blanc, MI and Deborah J. Marler of Dayton, TN; sister Elsie Leffew of Dayton, TN; grandchildren, Allen Rogers, Rebecca Rogers Howe, Brad Marler; great grandchildren, Emily Rogers, Nicholas Marler, A.J. (Bubba) Rogers, Shelby Jane Howe, Xander Marler, Xandra Marler; lifelong friend, Leona Kassion of Grand Rapids, MI; special niece, Vicky Lynn Cornett of Dayton, TN and 2 nephews.

Service will be Sunday, October 25, 2020 at 2:00pm in the Chapel of Coulter Garrison Funeral Home with Rev. Clyde Fitzgerald officiating.

Family will receive friends Sunday, October 25, 2020 from 11:00-2:00pm.

Interment will be at Ogden Cemetery.
