Ellen Farnsworth

Ellen Farnsworth, age 80, entered her heavenly home on Thursday, March 26, 2026. She was a longtime member of Ogden Baptist Church.

She was born in Dayton on February 1, 1946, to Edwin “Bob” and Eula Hicks Farnsworth.

Ellen graduated from Rhea Central High School and Carson Newman College. She retired from the Rhea County Education System.

Ellen loved her family, friends, and church family, but especially loved the Lord. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Ellen was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin “Bob” and Eula Hicks Farnsworth.

She is survived by her sister, Rose Mary Farnsworth; her brothers, Edwin (Jane Ellen) Farnsworth of Dayton and Frank (Mary Francis) Farnsworth of Soddy Daisy; her nephews, William (Missy) Farnsworth of Dayton and Donald Farnsworth of Dayton; her niece, Amanda Farnsworth of Soddy Daisy; three great-nieces: Meredith, Savannah and Caitlyn; several cousins and special friends, Charles and Beth Smith.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., with a graveside service following at 1:30 p.m. at Ogden Cemetery.

Coulter Garrison Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
