Elzie Lee "Mammy" (Smith) Gibson

Elzie Lee (Smith) Gibson passed away on June 2, 2022 at CHI Memorial Hosptial.  She was 93 years old,  a lifelong resident of Rhea Co, and was of the Baptist faith. She loved cleaning, drinking coffee, and taking care of kids, and was a waitress in restaurants  for over 50 yrs. She was preceded by her husband; Herbert E. Gibson,  parents; Henry and Melody Hill Smith, brother; Henry Smith, and  sisters; Henrietta Suttles, Margaret Holloway, and Sudie Lowe.

 Elzie is survived by sister; June Kyle Evensville, TN,  great niece; Brittany O'Dell, and her children;  Harmony and Kenny Simmons, Ava, Caleb and Caden O"Dell, and several other nieces & nephews.

Graveside services will be Friday June 10, 2022 at 11:00 am at Rhea Memory Gardens with Rev. Norman Huskey officiating.
