Gerald "Jerry" Gene Masengale

Gerald “Jerry” Gene Masengale, 76, of Evensville, TN passed away Sunday evening, January 17, 2021 at his home surrounded by family.

Jerry was a lifelong resident of Rhea County and was a member of New Union Baptist Church where he was a Deacon for many years and enjoyed singing in the choir. Jerry was retired from La-z-boy Manufacturing after 36 years of employment with the company.

He is preceded in death by his parents Jack and Fanny Masengale and  sister, Clovella King.

He is survived by his wife, Alice Faye Masengale; sons Stacey and Randall (Maggie) Masengale; five grandchildren, Justin, Alyssa, Colby, Maverick, and Mariska Masengale; 5 siblings, Linda Shaver, Rosie Purser, Ronnie Masengale, Raymond Masengale and Clyde Masengale  and several nieces and nephews.

Service will be Thursday, January 21, 2021 at 2:00pm at New Union Baptist Church with Rev. Jeremy Deal and Dr. Danny Ruehling officiating.

Visitation will be Thursday, January 21, 2021 from 12:00-2:00 at the church.

Interment will be at Spence Cemetery.
