Glenn Emmerson Hartman, “Papaw to most everyone”, age 80, passed away at his home on June 1, 2022. He was a member of Yellow Creek Baptist Church, worked at Howard Smith’s Chevron for many years, loved growing hot peppers, and mostly spending countless hours with his family.
Glenn is preceded in death by his parents: Lander and Fannie Hartman and brothers, Ronald Hartman and Calvin Hartman. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mary Hartman; daughter, Reane (John) Outten; sons: Tracey Hartman, Daryl (Milissa) Hartman, Tim (Morgan) Hartman; sisters Debbie (Dennis) Dye and Sue (James) Gaither; brothers: Alfred (Teri) Hartman and Hoyt (Linda) Hartman, seven grandchildren: Talitha (Matt) Jones, Jessica (Hank) Dodson, Grayson (David) McClung, Mackenzie Hartman, Scott Hartman, Will Gibson and Clark Gibson; ten great grandchildren: Braydon Davis, Bryson Davis, Brody Davis, Paislee McClung, Tinslee McClung, Brantlee McClung, Reilly Dodson, Mason Dodson, Penelope Dodson, and Adalyn Hartman; great, great grandbaby, Blakely Davis.
Funeral services will be Saturday June 4, 2022 at 2pm in the Chapel of Coulter-Garrison Funeral Home with Rev. Clyde Fitzgerald officiating. He will be laid to rest at Cove Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday June 3, 2022 from 5pm to 8pm.
