“GT” Goebel, 91, passed away December 16, 2020 at his son’s home in Lenoir City, TN
He was a lifelong resident of Rhea County and of the Baptist faith. He loved baseball and was retired from Dupont after many years as a millwright.
He is preceded in death by his parents, William Henry and Jenny Massey Goebel; wife, Eva Goebel; brother, Maurice Goebel and sister, Ruth Spatoli.
He is survived by his children, Linda, Gayle Sparks of Windser, SC, Charlotte Garrison of Chattanooga, TN, Grayson Goebel Jr. of Lenoir City, TN, Vickie Pollard and Doug (Nancy) Colvin both of Dayton, TN, 14 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside service will be Saturday, December 19, 2020 2:00pm at Rhea Memory Gardens with Rev. Clyde Fitzgerald officiating.
There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
