Harry Walter “Bunky” Jones, 74, died October 24, 2021, at Parkridge Hospital in Chattanooga, TN. He was a resident of Spring City since 2011. Harry was born in Ft. Lauderdale, FL to Sidney and Joyce Jones, and lived there most of his life.
He is survived by his loving wife, Pattie, sons, Chris (Lisa Marie) and Ryan Jones, stepdaughters, Nancy Matt and Nicole (Lloren) Andreu, and grandchildren, C.J., Paige, Sebastian, Johanna, Heinrich, and Devin.
Harry served his country in the United States Army. He spent many years as Commander-in-Chief of the American Legion Post 203 in Spring City. He was a member of the Dayton Golf Club, where he was an avid golfer.
He was a member of the Rhea County Master Gardeners.
Harry was best known for his gifted work with wood, building cabinets and furniture.
He was an active member of St. Bridget Catholic Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus.
A celebration of Harry’s life will be held at St. Bridget Catholic Church, on November 5, 2021, officiated by Fr. Sam Sturm. Visitation will be held at the Church, beginning at 2:00 p.m., with Mass immediately following at 3:00 p.m. Mass will be followed by dinner, at the American Legion Hall in Spring City.
