Havard “Leon” Sneed, age 84, passed away on January 28, 2026, at the Lifecare Center in Red Bank, Tennessee. He was born on January 6, 1942, in Dayton, Tennessee, to Havard M. and Ann Mize Sneed.
Leon was a lifelong resident of the area and was of the Baptist faith. He had a deep love for the outdoors and found great enjoyment in duck hunting and bass fishing. He was also an avid CB Radio Operator, a hobby that allowed him to connect with friends near and far. Leon was a retired foreman at Combustion, a trade in which he took great pride and demonstrated a strong work ethic throughout his career. He was also a devoted Mason for over forty years, an affiliation he held with great pride. Through his years in the Masonic fraternity, he embraced its values of brotherhood, service, and integrity, forming lasting friendships and giving of himself quietly and faithfully to others.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Jeffery Sneed; his sister, Winona Long; and his brother-in-law, Leon Long.
Leon is survived by his son, Tim (Ramanda) Sneed; grandchildren, Cayla Coleman and Zackaria Calhoun; great-grandchildren, Camelia Bautista and Fabian Bautista; and a nephew, Kyle Long.
He has been laid to rest in Rhea Memory Gardens.
