Herschel Bloodworth, 87 of Dayton, TN passed away gracefully on Wednesday, March 24 in his home.
He was very loved and adored by the community. He found pleasure in giving fruits and produce to all the banks and courthouse staff and local businesses around town. If you heard the horn you knew he was there to deliver his goodies. He was such a giving person. His lifelong companion Dolly Tilley passed in 2005.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Ann Herron Bloodworth; brother, Herman Bloodworth; daughter, Doris Jefferies.
He is survived by his three sons, Butch (Joy) Bloodworth of Ringgold, GA., Darrell (Lisa) Bloodworth of Fort Oglethorpe, GA. Barry Bloodworth of Houston, Texas; two sisters, Hermina Coffee of Chattanooga, TN, Hazel Bloodworth of Jacksonville, FL; two brothers, Hansel Bloodworth of Flintstone, GA., and Harlan Bloodworth as well as several nieces and nephews.
He is also survived by Dolly’s sons, Terry (Beverly) Tilley, Mark (Joann) Tilley and Tommy (Samantha) Tilley; and several of her grandchildren as well as caregivers and good friends Kim Cranfill, Carolle and Velma Henderson.
