Imogene “Norma Lee” Hastings, age 88, passed away peacefully at her residence on July 21, 2024. She was a lifelong resident of Dayton and a member of the Church of God. She loved thrifting and travel, telling stories to her grandchildren and fishing with her great-grandson, Dusty. Imogene was a devoted woman of faith and a true believer of God, and she loved reading her Bible. She will be deeply missed by her family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, A.L. and Ruth (Morrison) Carlton; grandson, Bradley Blackburn; brothers, Clarence, Wilburn, Thomas, Dewey, Vance, and James Carlton; and a baby sister and brother; sisters, Jewel Lundy, and Joyce Burnett.
Imogene is survived by her children, Debra (Lonnie) Williams, Vera (Harry) Hawkins, Teresa (Clint) Etherton; sister, Lassie McClure; grandchildren, Wendy Vennie, Jarred Williams, Kari Robbins, Amy Masterson, Brandon Blackburn, Adrian Porter, Justin Porter, Zayley Etherton; eighteen great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A Graveside service will be Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Rigsby Cemetery, (Dayton Mountain) with Dustin Smith officiating.
