Jarred Halston Green, 26, of Dayton, Tennessee passed away at his home on Tuesday, May 9, 2023. He was a lifelong resident of Rhea County. Jarred is greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was an artist and an active member of the Chattanooga art community. Jarred had the honor of creating the entrance piece for the Pink! gala benefiting the MaryEllen Locher Breast Center in Chattanooga one year. He was the featured artist for an exhibit at the Creative Discovery Museum where his work was then put on display after a live demonstration. In addition, he created murals on Main Street and in the Chattanooga area. He was active in many various community art projects, as well as developing his own brand featuring his personal art, designs, and his own line of clothing.
Jarred enjoyed his art first and foremost, as well as kayaking, hiking, skateboarding, and campfires with his buddies and his family. He at one point was involved and excelled in year round sports.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Hiram and Lorene Green.
Jarred is survived by his parents, Pat and Delilah Green; sister, Tamara Green; brother, John Green (and partner Tyson Weister); maternal grandparents, Cecil and Clara Gossett; many aunts and uncles; as well as several cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Jimmie Talley officiating. Visitation will be at Coulter Garrison Funeral Home on Monday, May 15, 2023, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. There will also be visitation on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM with services following. Pallbearers will be Cameron Jones, Eli Tilley, Brad Parks, CJ Wilson, Deaunta Young, Kyle Crestman, Tony Gregory, and David “Moe” King. Interment will follow.
