Jimmy Ray Cameron, age 85, of Dayton, TN, passed away on December 19, 2024. He was born on January 19, 1939, to the late James Walton Cameron and Mildred Standifer Cameron.
Jimmy was a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother. He is survived by his children, Karen Levengood, Walt Cameron, Stacy (Matt) Hampton, Tracey (April) Cameron, and Jan Cameron; one sister, Hilda Carpenter; and nine grandchildren: Stephanie Gibson, Natalie Bright, Ashton Cameron, Madison Bailey, Mallory and Sidney Hampton, Haley, McKenna, and Kaleb Cameron. Additionally, Jimmy is survived by four great-grandchildren, Luke, Josiah, and Nathaniel Bright, and the newest addition to the family, Piper Leigh Bailey.
Jimmy's family was everything to him, and he cherished the time spent with his loved ones. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, love, and laughter that will continue to inspire those who knew him.
A graveside service to celebrate his life will be held at Add-Smith Cemetery on Monday, December 23, 2024, at noon. The service will be officiated by Rev. Bobby Schafer.
