Jack Franklin Curtis, 84, passed away March 13, 2020 at his home in Dayton, TN.
Jack was a longtime resident of Rhea County and a member of The Church of Jesus Christ Latter-Day Saints. He served in the National Guard and was a member of the First Responders with Rigsby and Kiuka Fire Hall, Carpenter’s local #74 of Chattanooga, Order of the Arrow and the Y Indian Guides. He worked as a carpenter at TVA and served many callings in his church.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Gussie Vinol Curtis and Olive Calista White Curtis;great granddaughter, Alexandra West; sisters, Dolly Nunley, Maenan Watt, June Curtis and brother, Richard Curtis.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years Rosala Curtis of Dayton, TN; children, Diane (Dave) Moore of Chattanooga, TN, Jack (Anna) Curtis II of Pikeville, TN, Paul (Paige) Curtis of Memphis, TN, Charles Curtis, Timothy (Rachel) Curtis and Christopher (April) Curtis; step-daughter April Sims all of Dayton, TN; brothers, Gus Curtis of Dyersburg, TN, Speedy (Merlene) Curtis and Larry Curtis both of West Plains, MO; 26 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
