Jack F. Huskey, 92, most recently living at The Courtyard in Dayton, TN passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at Decatur Wellness & Rehab.
Jack was a longtime resident of Rhea County and of the Baptist faith. Born in Gatlinburg, TN, October 20, 1927, he grew up on Widow’s Knob and was a member of Roaring Fork Baptist Church in Gatlinburg. He sold newspapers and worked for R.L. Maples at the Gatlinburg Inn. He also owned a Hitchrack, renting horses to tourists until he went in the US Army in 1945. He was a brick mason and stone mason and a member of the Internationl Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers for 57 years.
After retiring, he loved gun trading and flea marketing around the country with his wife Pat. He lived in Blairsville, GA before returning to Dayton.
He is preceded in death by his 1st wife Louise McCarter Huskey; parents, Lofton & Mamie Cogdill Huskey; 2nd wife, Patricia Bicknell Huskey and granddaughter, Dottie Gibson.
He is survived by his son, Rev. Norman (Becky) Huskey of Evensville, TN; daughters, Jackie (Donnie) Mailloux of Lakeview, FL, Tracey (Ronnie) Bridwell of Dayton, TN and Leslie (Wayne) Stinnett of Cleveland, TN; step-son, David (Patricia) Bicknell of Winston Salem, NC; step-grandchildren, Allison (James) Warrick of Jamestown, NC, Patrick Bicknell of Boston, MA; very special ones Pheobe (Jason) Brown and daughters Ide & Maebh of Charlottesville, VA; 12 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren .
Graveside Service will be Sunday, July 26, 2020 at 3:00pm at Rhea Memory Gardens with the Rev. Norman Huskey officiating.
