James Harold Gentry, 76, passed away December 14, 2019 at his home in Dayton, TN.
James was a longtime residence of Rhea County and of the Baptist faith. He attended Kelly Grove Baptist Church and worked many years as a chemical mixer at Fuji in Dayton.
He is preceded in death by his parents, James Polk Gentry and Sitha Marie Howser Gentry; wife, Betty Laverne Gentry; daughter, Keita Cashman; grandson, Clay Worthington; sisters, Elizabeth Pittman, Darlene Quinn, Mary Lawson and brother, Bobby Gentry.
He is survived by his children, Karen (Bobby) Worthington of Pikeville, TN, Jim (Katie) Gentry and Kelly (Will) Commins both of Dayton, TN, Sitha (Andy) West of Gruetli-Laager, TN; 14 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Service will be Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at 2:00pm in the Chapel of Coulter Garrison Funeral Home with Rev. Rusty Revis officiating.
Family will receive friends Tuesday, December 17, 2019 from 12:00-2:00pm.
