James Dennis Jenkins

James D. Jenkins,83, of Dayton, TN went to his heavenly home on Tuesday, September 22, 2020. A loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, and, most importantly, a devoted follower of Jesus.  He loved spending time with his family, working in the yard, and watching the Tennessee Vols. He was a long time member of Calvary Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, L.W. "Bud" and Ellen Jenkins, and brother, Calvin "C.J." Jenkins.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Joyce Jenkins; daughter, Beverly (Terry) Tilley, granddaughter, Chasity (Adam) Smith and great grandchildren Holly and Seth Smith all of Dayton.  He is also survived by his brother, Jackie (Joy) Jenkins of Spring City and sister, Judy Bohannon of Dayton as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. 

Service will be Friday, September 25, 2020 at 2:00pm in the Chapel of Coulter Garrison Funeral Home with Rev. Joshua Stock and Rev. Curtis Sayre officiating.

Visitation will be Friday, September 25, 2020 from 12:00-2:00pm.

Interment will be at Rhea Memory Gardens.

Family is requesting that visitors wear a mask.
