James Clifford Mears Jr.

James Clifford Mears Jr. of Dayton, TN passed away January 11, 2021 at Rhea Medical Center.

James was a lifelong resident of Rhea County and attended Potter’s House of Prayer. He enjoyed spending time with his family. He made family time a happy and fun time.

He is preceded by his parents, James Clifford Sr. and Annie Mears and sisters, Katherine Maye and Evelyn Sneed.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Carol Jane Mears; children, James “Bubba” Mears (Patty) of Dayton, TN, Pamela Maynard, Don Mears (Jessica) and Tonya Kilgore (JL) all of Graysville, TN; sister, Patricia Mears; brothers, Charlie, Matt and Randy Mears; grandchildren, Logan Jordan, Dakota Roddy, Elizabeth and Eli Maynard, Nevaeh, Jaxon and Sam Mears, Levi, Chelsea and Elijah Kilgore and several nieces and nephews.

Service will be Monday, January 18, 2021 at 1:00pm in the Chapel of Coulter Garrison Funeral Home with Rev. Aaron Jump officiating.

Family will receive friends Monday, January 18, 2021 from 11:00am-1:00pm.

Interment will be at Pierce Cemetery in Evensville.
