Joane Frances (Clark) Bowerman

Joane Frances Bowerman, age 85, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 12, 2026, at the Hospice of Chattanooga Care Center. She was born on April 28, 1941, in Canandaigua, New York, to Joseph and Geraldine Clark.

Joane found great joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved reading and took pride in tending to her flower gardens. A devoted member of Decatur Methodist Church, she was actively involved in many church activities, especially programs for children, which held a special place in her heart. Above all, she cherished the companionship of her beloved dog, "Peaches," whose memory brought her much happiness and comfort.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert David Bowerman; and her brother, Larry Clark.

She is survived by her two sons, Steven (Nancy) Bowerman of Dayton, Tennessee, and Michael (Fabienne) Bowerman of the Netherlands; and by her grandson, Dean Bowerman of the Netherlands.

In accordance with her wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral services at this time.
