Brenda Joyce Harveston, age 81, of Evensville, Tennessee, passed away on November 14, 2025, at CHI Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She was born on March 14, 1944, in Chattanooga to Lester and Hattie Wilson.
Joyce was a lifelong resident of Evensville and was of the Baptist faith. She was employed for twenty years at Rolane Factory Outlet, where she served many of those years as a respected manager. She was known as a loving, caring person. Her family meant everything to her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Leon Wilson and James Wilson; and a sister, Peggy Williams.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Tommy Harveston Sr.; her children, Tommy (Rhonda) Harveston and Lisa (Rod) Shirley; two sisters, Joanne Lockhart and Helen Wright; and a brother, Eddie Wilson. Joyce leaves behind six grandchildren—Taylor Wopat, Walker Wopat, Sarah Shirley, Eli Shirley, Tyler Jolley, and Hunter Harveston—and three great-grandchildren, Liam Harveston, Gunner Jolley, and Kinder Jolley, as well as several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, November 16, 2025. A graveside service will follow at 3:00PM with Dr. Roger Rothwell officiating at the Smyrna Cemetery in Evensville, Tennessee.
