Joyce Price McClure, 74 of Evensville, Tennessee went home to be with her Lord Jesus on Thursday March 11, 2021. She was born on September 6, 1946 in Chattanooga Tennessee, the daughter of the late Alton and Mildred Price. Joyce was a member of First Baptist Church of Dayton, TN and loved working for the Lord. She was a Sunday School teacher for many years, and loved working with children. She worked many years for the Rhea County School System and everyone knew her as “Miss Joyce.” She loved her customers at Morgan Furniture and met everyone with a smile that she came in contact with. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband John McClure Jr; her parents; brothers; Samuel Price and Melvin Price; sisters; Marilyn Hutcheson, Altanett Bowman and baby sister Janice Price.
She is survived by two sons; John “Matt” (Darlene) McClure, Stephen (Heather) McClure; three grandsons; Heath McClure, Bryson Bayles, and Braydon McClure; three great grandsons; Matthew, Mayson and John McClure; two special sisters-in-law; Jane Arthur and Phyllis Payne; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral Services will be Monday March 15, 2021 at 2 PM in the chapel of Coulter Garrison Funeral Home with Rev. Milton Knox officiating.
Family will receive friends on Sunday March 14, 2021 from 4-8 PM at Coulter Garrison Funeral Home.
Internment will be at Smith Wilkey cemetery.
