KATHY C (COUCH) HIXSON

Kathy C. Hixson, 61, of Dayton, Tennessee, went to be with the Lord on August 30th, 2023, at her home surrounded by her loved ones.  

She was a life-long resident of Rhea County.  Kathy loved to go camping and 4-wheeling.  She loved her family and was a very giving person.  She will be forever missed.

Kathy is preceded in death by her mother, Carrie McDonald Couch; and brothers, Ed Couch, Bill Couch, and France Couch. 

She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Tommy Hixson, Sr., three children, Tommy (Amanda) Hixson, Jr., Tina (Wesley) King; and Stacey Hixson; sisters, Beatrice Nation, Rita BrookS, Ruth Googe, and Diane Graham; brothers, Marion Couch and Jimmy Couch; grandchildren, Michael Hixson, Cameron and Austin McGuire, and Kayden and Brantlan Hixson; favorite niece, April Castanon; favorite great niece, Sylvia Castanon Diaz; and favorite nephew, Ed Couch. 

Pallbearers will be:  Stacey, Michael, James. Ed; Ezequiel and Austin. 

A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, September 3, 2023, at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Coulter Garrison Funeral Home with Pastor Caleb Bolton officiating.  Interment will follow at Welsh-Rogers Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Friday, September 1, 2023, from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM, Saturday, September 2, 2023, from 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM, and Sunday from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
