Viola Katherine Potter Porter of Spring City, Tennessee, passed away at her home on January 4, 2021.
Katherine was born on March 15, 1930 in Dayton, Tennessee. She graduated from Rhea Central High School and shortly thereafter was employed by the Dupont Company in Chattanooga where she worked until she retired. She was a faithful member of Wolf Creek Baptist Church in Spring City where she was very active with her Sunday school class. She loved to experience different cultures and was known as a world traveler.
Katherine was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Clay Porter Sr. of Spring City, Tennessee, and their son, Ralph Clay Porter Jr.; parents, Carl and Pearl Potter of Dayton; brothers, Robert Clyde, and Edd Potter; sisters Nola Potter Beavers and Ola Potter Roddy. She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
A private family graveside service will be held at 1:00pm, on January 8, 2021, at Buttram Cemetery with Rev. Paul Forgey officiating.
