Kathryn Newberry Obituary

Kathryn Ann (Eloe) Newberry, 71, passed away Tuesday, November 17, 2020, at her home in Graysville, Tennessee with her daughters and faithful dog, Buddy, by her side. She was born in Omaha, Nebraska on September 23, 1949, to Miles and Marcella (Claus) Eloe. Kathy attended the University of California at Santa Barbara and majored in Anthropology. She owned South Rhea Sales gun shop and her customers affectionately called her “The Gun Lady.” She was respectful, kind, and empathetic. Kathy enjoyed her trips to Las Vegas to meet family and to Cherokee, North Carolina with friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Richard Newberry, and her son-in-law, Joe Randolph.

She is survived by her daughters, Kimberly Newberry Randolph and Christina Newberry, grandson Benjamin (Ashleigh) Randolph, sister, Margaret Lange, brothers, Howard (Sandy) Eloe, and John (Nancy) Eloe, several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Graveside Service will be held Friday, November 20, 2020 at 2:00pm at Rhea Memory Gardens with Rev. John Eldridge officiating.
