Kathy Jo (Nichols) Freeman

Our Family is heartbroken to announce the passing of our beloved mother, Kathy Jo

(Nichols) Freeman, who passed away unexpectedly at her home in Knoxville, Tn on July 13,2026 at the age of 64. Kathy was born September 5,1961 in Dayton, Tn to the late James and Bernice Nichols. Mom will be remembered for her love for her family, she loved to play puzzle games, watch the birds, she loved music, and comedy movies, and coloring.

She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Bernice Nichols, brothers Gary Nichols; James ‘Jimbo” Nichols, sister’s Judy Qualls, Donna Stacks, Rebecca Nichols, and her twin sister Karen Higdon grandparents Floyd and Addie Nichols, Creed and Katie Dunn; niece Misty Stacks.

Kathy is survived by her sons, Brandon Michael (Hope), James Keith, Robert Heath (Lauren) Revis, granddaughters, Victoria Revis, Chloe Revis, Kaylin Lovelady, Ava Revis, (3) great grandchildren; Sister’s Brenda Morgan, Sandra Morgan, Brother’s Larry Nichols, Gene Nichols, Special Friend/ Companion Gilligan Vega; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

Funeral service will be held Sunday, July 19, 2026 at 4PM in the chapel of Coulter-Garrison Funeral Home with Pastor Gladden Coe officiating. The family will receive friends from 2PM until service time. Interment will follow at Burchard Cemetery.
