Mr. Kendall Harris, age 70, of Dayton, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 12, 2026. Born on November 22, 1955, in Rockwood, Tennessee, Kendall was the son of the late James and Addie Ruth Keylon Harris. He was a talented woodworker who enjoyed creating with his hands and especially loved decorating for his favorite holiday, Christmas. Kendall was known for his quick wit and infectious sense of humor. He never missed an opportunity to tell a joke or make those around him laugh, and his joyful personality will be remembered by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
In addition to his parents, Kendall was preceded in death by his brothers, Carlos Harris, Estes Harris, and Lowell Harris; and his sisters, Mary Harris and Lela Harris.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Becky Butler Harris; his children, Amy Guy, Jason Mayne, Joshua Mayne-Patton (Rob), and Sabrina Moffett (Michael); his sisters, Bea Kerley and Sue Roberts (Hershel); his brother, Greer Harris; his grandchildren, Mathew Guy, Lexie Mayne, Rem Patton, Jasper Mayne-Patton, Raine Harris, Hailey Harris, and Kain Moffett; as well as several beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and many friends.
A funeral service celebrating Kendall's life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 16, 2026, in the chapel of Coulter-Garrison Funeral Home with Brother TJ Talent officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service. Interment will follow at Dunn Cemetery in Pikeville, Tennessee.
