Mr. Kenneth Larry McCary, 75, of Dayton, TN went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 3rd, 2024. He was born May 29th, 1948 in Chattanooga, TN to Thomas and Elsie McCary. Mr. McCary has resided in Dayton for 30 years - he was of the Baptist faith. Kenneth was a God-loving and God-fearing man, and enjoyed helping children with Bible study. He never met a stranger. He loved to fish, so much so, he was nicknamed "Catfish." Kenneth dearly loved his two grandchildren, Dakota and Jesse Cox.
Mr. McCary is preceded in death by his parents Thomas and Elise McCary; wife Sue Coxey McCary; and brothers Thomas Jackson, Montgomery Lebron, Richard Paul, Howard Eugene, Roger Len, Perry Dewayne, and Jerry Wayne McCary.
Kenneth is survived by his daughter Shauna (Wayne) Cox; sisters Mary Helen McCallister and Valerie Faye Hicks; brother Bobby Randall McCary; grandchildren Dakota and Jesse Cox; great grandchildren Kylee Sharpe, Amelia Ruth Cox, and Makenna Headrick; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at 2PM Sunday, January 7th, 2024 in the chapel of Coulter Garrison Funeral Home with Brother George Morgan officiating. Burial will follow at Montgomery Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12PM until the time of the service.
