Kenneth Franklin Pendleton of Cleveland, Tennessee passed away Saturday at the age of 80 from complications of prostate cancer.
Ken was born on December 3, 1940 to Elige and Elizabeth Wright Pendleton near Spring City, Tennessee. He was a people-person and never met anyone with whom he couldn't make instant conversation, a gift which served him well in his many years as both an insurance salesman for National Life and as a car salesman for various automobile dealerships in the Chattanooga area. His happiest years, however, came after retirement, living on a farm in Dayton, Tennessee with his wife, Imogene. He was a member of Wolf Creek Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, infant sister, Virginia, brother, Earl Pendleton, and son, Jason Pendleton.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Imogene, daughter Michele Sherrill (Joel) of Huntsville; step-daughter Amy Landreth (John) of Cleveland; grandsons Jordan Powell and Justin Powell of Huntsville, grandson Alex Pendleton of Fort Oglethorpe; granddaughter Jessica Michelson (Mark) of Louisville; grandson Rob Sherrill (April) of Ooltewah; grandson Grant Landreth of Cleveland, and granddaughter Erin Landreth of Cleveland; great-granddaughter Madelyn Sherrill; great-grandson, Leo Michelson, and niece, Renee Conley (Mark) of Ringgold.
A graveside service will be held on Monday November 8 at 2:00PM at Rhea Memory Gardens with the Rev. Paul Forgey officiating.
