LILA LEE WHITFIELD

Lila Whitfield, 73, of Hixson, Tennessee passed away on Wednesday, November 1, 2023.  She has lived in Tennessee for the past 30 years and attended the Seventh Day Adventist Church. 

She loved to do flower arranging and many arts and crafts.  Lila was the layout artist for the Dayton Herald and was very talented.  She loved music, going to concerts and visiting her sisters in Florida where she really enjoyed going out on the boat.  She will be dearly missed by everyone.   

Lila is preceded in death by her parents, James William and Oleta Olinger Whitfield and brother-in-law, Johnny Godsey. 

She is survived by her sisters, Carol (John) Green of Niceville, Florida and Robin L. Godsey of Crestview, Florida.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 5, 2023, at 3:00 PM at Coulter Garrison Funeral Home with Reverend Brent Stewart officiating.  The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1 PM until the time of the service.  Interment will follow at Smith-Wilkey cemetery.
