Leola Ruth (Minick) Strader

Leola R. Minick Vineyard Strader went to be with Jesus on Sunday June 5, 2022 at her home in Spring City with her daughter and son-in-law by her side. She was born April 7, 1931 in Evensville, TN. She graduated from Spring City High School class of 1949. She was a lifelong resident of Rhea County, a member of Texas Grove Baptist Church and played the organ. She loved music and to travel. Leola worked and retired from SETHRA.

Leola is preceded in death by her parents; Charles C. Minick, Sr. and Rissie Wilkey Minick, first and second husband; Dallas C. Vineyard and Jesse C. Strader, son; Samuel “David” Strader, great-grandson; Landon Carter Huskey, siblings; Elizabeth Minick Watson and Charles C. Minick, Jr. She is survived by daughter; Becky Vineyard (Rev. Norman) Huskey, grandchildren; Thomas (Carrie) Huskey, Stephen (Samantha) Huskey, great-grandchildren; Logan, Rylee, and Drew Huskey, several nieces and nephews, and extended family.

Family will receive friends at Texas Grove Baptist Church on Wednesday, June 8, 2022 from 12 to 2 pm with service following at 2 pm with Rev. Norman Huskey and Tommy Huskey officiating. She will be laid to rest at Spring City Cemetery.
