Leona (Godbehere) Hensley

Leona (Godbehere) Hensley, 78, of Dayton, TN passed away on July 19, 2021 at home. She was a life-long resident of Rhea County and of the Baptist faith. 

Leona was preceded in death by her husband, Ferrell Hensley; parents, Willie and Mary Godbehere; seven brothers, Otis, Andy, Homer, Sam, Johnny, Kenneth, and Jennings Godbehere; and three sisters, Nola Penoyer, Helen Godbehere, and Mary Ruth Godbehere.

She is survived by her daughters, Darlene (Glen) McCaleb and Rosemary (Scott) Davis, both of Dayton, TN; her sister, Ida Garrison of Dayton; three grandchildren, Nicholas Gunter, Crissy Gunter, and Ryan Davis; two great grandchildren, Ashlyn Gunter and Aiden Gunter; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Service will be Thursday, July 22, 2021 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Coulter-Garrison Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Breeden officiating. Interment will be in the Garrison cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 from 5:00 PM  - 8:00 PM at Coulter-Garrison Funeral Home.
