Leta Ann Gravett Dyer passed into the arms of Jesus on June 9, 2022 with her faithful husband and daughters by her side. Leta loved her family with her whole self. She graduated from Rhea Central High School in 1972 and married the love of her life that same year. She retired from Bryan College in 2017 after 30 years of service there. She lived out her Christian faith and taught her daughters and grandchildren to love and serve the Lord. Her favorite hobbies were gardening and spoiling her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 49 happy years; Joe Dyer, her daughters; Tammy Hixon and Kimberly (Brandon) Prudhomme, 8 beloved grandchildren; Trey, Leta, Elizabeth, Issac, Quintin, Trenton, Sawyer, and Hutch, as well as her beloved brothers; Ted, Don, Lon Wayne, and John Allen, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mom and dad, Annie and John Gravett Jr., her brother; Edward Gravett, her sister; Brenda Colbaugh and her son in law; Don Hixon.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew her, but for now we will plan to see you in heaven. We will “meet you by the river” !
The family will receive friends Sunday June 12, 2022 from 1:00 to 4:00 pm. Funeral services will be Sunday June 12, 2022 at 4 pm in the chapel of Coulter-Garrison Funeral Home with Pastor Glenn Moseley officiating. She will be laid to rest at Spivey Cemetery.
