Lloyd Allen Swafford, age 65, passed away on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at Erlanger Medical Center. He was born on April 8, 1960, in Battle Creek, Michigan, to Herbert Swafford and Clara Yates.
Lloyd had been a resident of this area since 1978 and was a faithful member of Dayton Church of God. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who cherished his family deeply. Farming was not just his work but his passion and way of life. He also held a special love for his church family and was known as a man of strong faith and a caring heart.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his granddaughter, Adia Jane Swafford; his son-in-law, Corey Roberts.
He is survived by his loving wife, Diane Ward Swafford; his five children, Tyler (Jessica) Swafford, Ashley Roberts, Cheynne Burns, Stephen Burns, and Joe Burns; his sister, Sonya (David) Labrecque; and six grandchildren, Layne Roberts, Westyn Roberts, Jasiah Swafford, Annalyse Swafford, Adaleyah Swafford and Micah Burns. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at 6:00 PM at Dayton Church of God, with Pastor Jeff Page officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the time of service.
