Loyd "Rocky" Dodson

Mr. Loyd “Rocky” Dodson, 71, of Graysville, TN passed away at his residence Saturday January 7, 2023. He was born June 18, 1951 to Dave and Rachel Thurman Dodson and was a member of Graysville Seventh Day Adventist Church. He served his country honorably in the 82nd Airborne Division and was a very kind and loving man who enjoyed working on and painting cars. He retired from LaZboy after twenty-seven years and worked at Tencate for seventeen years.

Loyd, “Rocky,”  is preceded in death by his parents, Dave and Rachel Dodson; five brothers, J.D., Johnny, Dallas, Joe, and Danny Dodson; and two sisters, Faye DeVault and Wanda Roberts.

Mr. Dodson is survived by his wife of 43 years, Nita Shadwick Dodson and their two sons, Brandon and David Dodson; brother, Kenneth “George” Dodson and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at Coulter-Garrison Funeral Home Wednesday January 11, 2023 at 2 PM with Pastor Mike Pettengill officiating. Burial will follow at Burchard Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday January 10 at the funeral home from 6-8 PM.
