Lucretia (Porter) Travis

Lucretia Porter Travis, age 87, passed away April 30, 2022 at CHI Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

She was a lifelong resident of Rhea County and was a member at New Bethel Methodist Church. She enjoyed painting, cooking, and riding in Gatlinburg, TN in the fall and looking at the leaves and trees changing colors. Yellow roses and white daisies were her favorite flowers.

Lucretia was preceded in death by her parents Garland A Porter and Amanda Day Porter, husband; George Kermit Travis, brothers and sisters; Charles Porter, Jen Porter, Emma Porter, Jimmy Porter, Betty Laher, Garland Porter, and David Porter. She is survived by her children Robert “Moe” Travis, Randy “Hud” (Cynthia) Travis, Mark “Stump” Travis, and Gina “Myrt” Travis, 8 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Tuesday May 3, 2022 at 4:00PM at Coulter-Garrison Funeral Home with Pastor Jimmy Jewel officiating. Interment wil be in Spence cemetery.The family will receive friends from 12-4 pm.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Womens Care Center, 285 Main Street Dayton, TN.
