Mary Hickman Obituary

Mary Helen Hickman, age 80, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, July 17, 2025, and is now in the arms of her Heavenly Father. She was born on December 25, 1944, in Dayton, TN. Mary put her faith and trust in Jesus Christ—Him crucified—His Holy Word, and in that alone.

She was a devoted wife of fifty years, a loving mother, and a best friend. She carried the love of God and the spirit of a preacher to everyone she met. Mary loved hummingbirds, gardening, flowers, sewing, making quilts, cooking, and taking care of her family. She worked very hard as a sewer most of her life in manufacturing.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd Woodrow Hudson and Lois Marie Williams Hudson; her husband, George Lee Hickman; her sisters, Martha (Willie) Fultz and Nancy (Wendell) Rigsby; and her nephew, Tracy Allen Taylor.

She is survived by her children, Michael Lynn (Laurie) Hickman and Rebecca Ann Hickman; grandsons, Gregory Allen Hickman and Stephen Jeremiah Hickman; sister, Barbara (Willard) Taylor; and several nieces and nephews.
