Matthew Lawrence Imerson

Matthew was born to Catherine and Purley Imerson on June 23rd, 1967, in San Bernardino, CA. On September 9th, 2024, Matthew entered his eternal home.

He is preceded in death by Catherine and Purley Imerson, Brother, Emiel Charles Imerson, Grandmother, Elsie Anderson, and Grandfather, Emiel Wolosko.

Matthew will be missed by so many; Sister, Mary Jo Misch, Brother, James (Alysia) Chavez, Nieces, Amelia Chavez and Clarissa (Reggie) Dowdy-Misch, and Nephew, Brandon Misch. A special mention to Sheryl Fritts with whom he shared his heart, home, and adventures for many years. With Sherly, he shared her grandchildren who knew him as Pops Matt, those left to share his memories are; Evan, JaMarcus, Emma, Makila, JaShaya, Maahi, Tamyia, Brielle`, and Renlee.

He also had a host of friends who will miss him dearly.

Born on June 23, 1967, Matthew had a spirit as vibrant as the rock ‘n’ roll music he cherished so much. His passion for life was contagious, often found singing along to his favorite tunes (especially Rocky Top), embodying the exuberance of each note. He enjoyed the freedom of the open road, creating memories with every mile. Whether driving down the highway or heading off to enjoy roller coasters, Matthew embraced adventure and was always up for thrilling experiences.

Above all, Matthew's warm-hearted nature and infectious laughter brought light and joy to those fortunate enough to know him. He had a unique gift for telling jokes, bringing smiles to faces, and creating unforgettable moments filled with love and humor. Every gathering was brighter with him around, as he had the ability to turn an ordinary moment into something special.

Friday, September 20th 2024, a Celebration of Life will be held in his honor at Lighthouse Church, where family and friends will gather to share memories, laughter, and love, as Matthew would have wanted. We encourage everyone to come with an open heart and share their stories, ensuring that his light continues to shine brightly in our lives. The family will start receiving friends at 6 pm and the service will begin at 7 pm. Forever remembered and cherished, Matthew Lawrence Imerson will remain in our hearts, inspiring us to carry forth the kindness and love he personified. Rest in peace, dear Matthew, until we meet again.
