Norman Holland, age 93, of Dayton, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2024. He was born in McMinnville, TN on February 22, 1931. He was a mechanic and known as “lightening” because he could pull a transmission and be driving by lunch.
Norman is preceded in death by his wife; Bertha Ellen Woody Holland, parents; James and Willie Holland, four brothers; George, Brown, JW, and Melvin Holland, and three sisters, Vernes Wilcox, Pauline Dixon, and Lola Mae Watts.
He is survived by six children; David Holland, Mark Holland, Casey (Susan) Holland, Michael Holland, Jeffery Holland, and Sandra Bennett, eleven grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service for Norman will be Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at 6PM in the chapel of Coulter Garrison Funeral Home with Brother Steve James officiating. The family will receive friends from 4pm until the start of the service. Interment will be 10:30am Thursday at Chattanooga National Cemetery with military honors.
