PEGGY SUE (MCCLURE) MOORE

Peggy Sue Moore, 84, entered her heavenly home on Sunday morning, August 20, 2023.  She was a life-long resident of Dayton, Tennessee.

She enjoyed day trips and weekends with family.  She loved her family and her church family as an active member of Garrison Baptist Church for over 50 years.  She was known for her cooking, especially her brownies.  She will forever be missed. 

Sue is preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Whilima McClure; sisters, Billie Jordan, Jolene Smith, Jeanette Burnett, Eloise Porter, Margorie Getgood, Pat Jordan, and Jerry Roberts; and one grandson, Ryan Hubner.

She is survived by her spouse, Samuel Franklin Moore; two children, Tim (Sheilia) Moore of Bonita Springs, FL, and Tony (Virginia) Moore, of Dayton, TN; one brother, Harlan (Kathy) McClure of Ooltewah, TN; three grandchildren, Curtis Moore, Denita (Kelly) Mickel, and Christy (Jeff) Hancock; eleven great-grandchildren,  Ally Moore, Preston Moore, Jordon Brown, Emileigh Brown, Kole Mickel, Jacob Hixson, Ava Hancock, RJ Hubner, Max Hubner, Remi Hubner, and Maddalyn Hubner; and several nieces and nephews. 

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday August 24, 2023, at 10:00 AM in the chapel of Coulter Garrison Funeral Home with Reverend Mike Breeden officiating.  Interment will follow at Rhea Memory Gardens.  Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 23, 2023, from 5:00 – 7:00 PM.
