Phyllis Ann (Lanford) Blevins

Phyllis Ann Blevins, 82, of Dayton, TN passed away February 25, 2021 at Parkridge Medical Center.

Phyllis was a lifelong resident of Rhea County. She was a member of New Union Baptist Church, Garden Club and Bridge Club. She was a great wife, mother, grandmother and sister.

She loved taking care of her family and animals. She was a pet lover. She loved her pets, other people’s pets and strays. She always put other people’s needs before her own. Phyllis loved to travel. She served as  Secretary at First Baptist Church for over 40 years.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Broadus and Virginia Lanford.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Charles Blevins of Dayton, TN; daughter, Debbie (Larry) Ballard of Dayton, TN; sister, Peggy Blevins of Dayton, TN; grandchildren, Justin, Aaron and Adam Ballard all of Dayton, TN; 10 great grandchildren; nieces, Diana Smith and Beth Wilkey and nephews, Tracy Blevins and Scott Conner.

A graveside service will be held Sunday, February 28, 2021 at 3:00pm at Shaver Cemetery with Dr. Danny Ruehling and Rev. Clyde Fitzgerald officiating.

Family will receive friends, Sunday, February 28, 2021 from 1:00-3:00pm at Coulter Garrison Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Justin Ballard, Adam Ballard, Aaron Ballard, Caleb Ballard, Scott Conner and Tracy Blevins.

Honorary pallbearers are Casey Smith, Cody Smith, Kyler Ballard and Jacob Ballard.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to New Union Baptist Church.
