Phyllis Ann (Maxwell) Day

Phyllis Ann (Maxwell) Day, age 82, passed away at her home March 31, 2024, in Decatur, TN. She was born April 15,1941, in Madisonville, TN to Donald and Regina Mae (Torbett) Maxwell.  She was a lifelong resident of this area, and was the President of the American Business Woman’s Association.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Regina Maxwell; sister, Sandra Ford.

She is survived by her husband, James Day, and three children; Max (Camela) Allen, of Sevierville, TN; son, James M. Day III and daughter, Susan Oakes; sisters, Donna Kay Maxwell, of Knoxville, TN, and Kimberly Flood, of Ohio; three grandchildren, Corbin and Camron Allen, and Calleigh Herrell; five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be Thursday, April 4, 2024, at 2:00 PM with Reverend Travis Shaver officiating. Burial to follow at Smyrna Cemetery.

Visitation will be Wednesday, April 3, 2024, from 3:00 – 5:00 PM.
