RANDY LAMAR SMITH

Randy Lamar Smith, age 52, passed away at Parkridge Hospital in Chattanooga, TN, on July 4, 2024. He was born October 9, 1971, in Atlanta, GA, to Benny Earl Lee Smith, Sr. and Betty Amanda (Estes) Best. He was of Baptist faith, and has lived in the Dayton area for the last 15 years since moving from Jonesboro, GA.  He was a hard worker, loved Ford Mustangs, was quiet around strangers but a big “cut up” once he knew you, a gentle giant.

Randy is preceded in death by his father, Benny Earl Smith, Sr., and his maternal grandparents.

He is survived by his mother, Betty (Freddie) Best; partner, Staci Butcher; children, Randy (Bri) Lamar Smith, Jr, Ryan Lee Smith, Billy Charles Butcher, KaylaMae (Aaron) Ann Henderson; brother, Earl (Tosha) Smith; grandchildren, TyShon (Ty) and Saint Smith, Jessie, Jaron, JayLee, and Jace Henderson, Taylon Butcher; nephew, Josh Smith; niece, Savannah (Jackson) Stark.

Visitation will be Tuesday, July 9, 2024, from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM at Coulter-Garrison Funeral Home in Dayton, TN. 

Service will follow at 4:00 PM in the Chapel, with Brother Anthony Smith officiating. Interment will be at French Cemetery.
