Born on March 23, 1934, Ray was a loving and devoted father to his two sons, Paul and the late Craig Roddy. He was a dedicated and caring grandfather to his granddaughter, Kristina Roddy. Ray's devotion to his family was unwavering, and his every moment was dedicated to providing them with a life filled with love, encouragement, and support.
Ray's professional journey was a testament to his dedication and work ethic. He served as an electrician at Dupont for 39 years, where his commitment to safety and technical expertise left an indelible mark. His retirement was well-deserved after years of hard work and dedication to his craft.
Beyond his professional life, Ray's passion for music was a significant part of his identity. He was a talented steel guitar player, sharing his musical talents with various bands throughout his life.
In addition to his family, Ray also had three special friends, Jeanette, Amy, and Abby who gave their love and support to his life. These friendships added depth and warmth to Ray's life, and their presence was cherished deeply.
Ray also shared a deep bond with our loyal companion, Jesco, who brought him an abundance of joy.
Ray was preceded in death by his son, Craig Roddy, and wife, Kathy Roddy, whose memories he carried with him always. He is survived by his son, Paul Roddy, and daughter-in-law, Maggie Roddy, who were a source of love and comfort in his later years. His granddaughter, Kristina Roddy, was the light of his life.
Ray Roddy leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and dedication to family and friends that will forever resonate in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to have known him. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten. May he rest in eternal peace.
