Rose Theresa Switter, 82, a long time resident of Rhea County, passed away at the Spring City Care and Rehab on March 30, 2023.
She was a member of the St. Bridget Catholic Church. Rose was very active in Women’s Alter Society and also served as a former president.
Rose was preceded in death her parents, Albert M. and Louise M. Bauer Campbell; three brothers, Dave, Richard, and James Campbell; and one sister, Mary Brown.
She is survived by her husband, Bernard Switter; two children, Suzanne Vennix of Michigan and Roxanne Vennix of Dayton, TN; five step children, Michael Switter of Evensville, TN, Theresa Cook of Graysville, TN, Cecelia Calbaugh of Evensville, TN, Maria Turner of Crossville, TN, and James Switter, of Dayton, TN; two sisters, Hazel Krajniak and Ann (Kenneth) Hemmalein both of Michigan; three brothers, Daniel Campbell, Charles (Judy) Campbell, and Roger Campbell, all of Michigan; eleven grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at 11:00 AM at St. Bridget Catholic Church with Father James Vick officiating. Burial to follow at Spring City Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at Coulter Garrison Funeral Home.
A dinner will be served after the committal service in the church fellowship hall.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude’s, Shriner’s Hospital, or your favorite charity.
