Raymond “Tad” Maynor, age 83, passed away on Friday, September 19, 2025, at his home in Dayton, Tennessee. He was born on July 15, 1942, in Dayton, Tennessee, to Thomas Dugan and Junnie Brandon Maynor.
Raymond retired from DuPont after 41 years of dedicated service. He was a faithful member of Spivey United Methodist Church. He was also a proud member of Dayton Lodge #512, where he served as Lodge Historian, and became a Master Mason in 1964. In addition, he was an Alhambra Shriner.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, John T. “Sonny” Maynor and Roy Lee Maynor.
He is survived by his loving wife, Doris Maynor; daughters, Ramona (Brent) Travis and Michelle (Tom) Solomon; stepson, Kevin (Tiffany) Aikman; sister, Betty Jo McDonald; and grandson, Trent (Madison) Solomon.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 22, 2025, at 1:00 PM in the funeral home chapel. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 5:00–8:00 PM, and again on Monday from 12:00 PM until the time of service. Burial will follow in Rhea Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the Shriners Children’s Hospital.
