Reba Virginia Wilkey

Reba Wilkey of Dayton, TN passed away January 5th, 2021 at Rhea Medical Center.

Reba was a lifelong resident of Rhea County and of Baptist faith. She was a member of New Union Baptist Church.

She was an outgoing member of the community and was a member of the Eastern Star. She loved to sing in the church choir, watch the Atlanta Braves and attend her children’s, grandchildren’s and great-grandchildren’s sporting events. She retired from Atomic Energy Commission in Oak Ridge, TN and after retirement, she worked at Edith’s Dress Shop, Lawanda’s Hallmark Store and at Market Street Hair.

Reba was always dressed to the nines. Weekly hair and nail appointments were a must. She also enjoyed playing cards and traveling. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, Eathen and Gladys Marler; spouses, Robert Marsh and Cleo Wilkey; sons, Bob Marsh, Gary Wilkey and Jim Wilkey; brother-in-law, Leroy West.

She is survived by three children;  Hurley Marsh, Bill Marsh (Kelley) and Jerry Wilkey (Carol); sister, Joyce West; daughter-in-law, Nancy Wilkey; grandchildren, Jill Davis (Jeff), JoJo Brown (Orin), Denise Cobb (Andy), Jason Marsh (Carolyn) Amanda Wilkey, Greg Wilkey (Jane) and Scott Wilkey; great grandchildren, Faith Dotson (Daniel), Shelby Davis, Ethan Davis, Noah Cobb, Blaire Brown, Leslie Phillips (Trevor); one niece, Jan Lemons (PJ); one great niece, Ashton; two great nephews, Brandon and Evan Lemons and life long friend, Jackie Reed.

Funeral services for Reba will be Friday January 8th, 2021 at 3:00 pm in the chapel of Coulter Garrison Funeral Home with Dr.Danny Reuhling and Reverend Jeremy Deal officiating.

Interment will be at Buttram Cemetery.

Family will receive friends Friday from 1:00pm to 3:00pm.
