Richard Steve Goforth

Mr. Richard Steve Goforth, 70, of Dayton, TN passed away at Rhea Medical Center Friday January 5, 2024. He was born to Richard Spencer and Audrey Wilkey Goforth on December 6, 1953 in Dayton ,TN. Richard was a lifelong residence of Dayton and was of the Baptist faith.

Mr. Goforth was preceded in death by his father, Richard Spencer Goforth; brother, Terry Goforth; paternal grandparents, Herschel and Fannie Mae Rice Goforth and maternal grandparents, Perry and Edith Sneed Wilkey.

Mr. Goforth is survived by his daughter, Melissa (Jeremy) Doss of Dayton, TN; mother, Audrey Wilkey Goforth of Dayton, TN; two sisters. Barbara Smith and Carol Todd, both of Dayton ,TN; brother, Jerry Goforth of Dayton, TN; granddaughter Kylee Paige Power of Dayton; several nieces and nephews and special friends Sherry Goforth and Junior Smith.

Funeral service will be held at 2PM Monday January 8, 2024 in the chapel of Coulter-Garrison Funeral Home with Reverend Leroy Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Rhea Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5PM until 7PM Sunday January 7 at the funeral home.
